So according to you, every handline fisher man, casts his line into the deep blue sea and knows exactly what he is going to catch??? Coelacanths dont live on any sea bed they live in caves 200 to 300 meters deep, Coelacanth ain't a Flounder!!!

They caught by accident, even if it's released it wouldn't survive. So why release it, going to be waste anyways. Much better idea to learn more about it than throwing it away.

There are millions of dumb reasons to kill animals. This is not one of them. This is a Coelacanth, what is seen to be a living transition between fish and Amphibians. They have lungs, fleshy "limbs" and a hinged skull.
